If you are an avid fan of Chrome then you know how useful extensions can be. Today we are looking at the New Tab Page extension for Chrome.
If you love tiles then this extension is for you. The Modern New Tab Page is chock full of customization options. This extension allows you to create a custom background image which you can change the opacity and color. The live tiles can be configured into three different sizes so you can arrange the tiles any way you want. Modern New Tab Page has a total of 26 different color themes to match your style. Setting up the Modern New Tab page is really easy to do.
You can customize the tiles with your favorite websites and you can upload your own pictures on the tiles as well as change the colors of the tiles so you can color code your favorite tiles. You can easily arrange the tiles by drag and drop. Modern New Tab Page also let’s you view recently closed tabs and your favorite bookmarks.
I really like the organization of my favorite websites by creating tiles for quick access. Try it out and see for yourself.

Hi Christopher, I was able to install The Modern New Tab Page extension on one of my computers. I really like it! Unfortunately I can’t find it again to install on my other computers… I keep getting an error message saying it may have been taken down by it’s creator? Can you tell me where I may get it for my other computers?

I have installed this extension originally from the webstore, but after it was removed I had some difficulties getting it on a new installation of Chrome. I decided to replace it by this one: http://tabmark.me/ 😉
I still don’t really know what was (were) the reason for the removal.
