Hello Folks! We’ve been having a blast running the LG G4 through tests and comparisons, and here’s our mega collection post of everything we’ve shot on LG’s newest flagship phone!
Are you curious about camera performance, how it compares to other phones, speaker performance, or want to see our review? We’ve got that! It’s embedded below for your enjoyment! Remember, sharing is caring, especially if you know anyone shopping a new phone!
Google continues to move forward with cardboard, bringing some really fun features to the low budget VR platform which uses your phone and an inexpensive cradle (often made out of cardboard) to surround you with immersive content.
The newest update to the Android Youtube app builds in native support for Google Cardboard. Now when you fire up a 360 degree video, a small cardboard icon will appear on the overlay. Tapping on that icon will split the screen automatically for stereo view through the VR headset of your choice.
Hitting the switch built into Cardboard viewers will pause the video, and moving your head along a timeline will let you fast forward or rewind the video. Very handy controls as you wont be able to touch the screen.
It’s a super fun feature to bring to the Android ecosystem, tying together the new Youtube 360 rollout and the improved developer tools for Cardboard. You can try it out with a video below, which we shot using the Kodak SP360, driving around Hollywood.
The Youtube app update should be rolling out to devices soon, or if you’re impatient you can grab it from APK Mirror and install it manually.
I recently got a message from a young Youtuber named Vishal who posts videos of himself playing piano and violin. He’s a remarkable young man, a talented musician who was born with a condition called Microtia and Aural Atresia, which means he was born without ear canals.
Doctors told his parents he would be deaf and mute, but Vishal’s father introduced him to music at a fairly young age, and thanks to bone conduction hearing aids, he participates in school much like a hearing child might.
After watching one of my reviews on AfterShokz headphones, his father thought they would be worth a try to see if they would be an improvement over the hearing aid he has worn most of his life.
They documented their unboxing and first impressions of the AfterShokz M3 Headphones which you can watch below.
LG has a monster smartphone on their hands this year. The G4 refines everything we liked about last year’s G3, while improving the screen and vaulting their camera into one of the best performers of the year.
AT&T has just started pre-ordering for the phone, but if you’re really lucky, you might be able to win a G4 from Big Blue. Every 4,000 seconds they’re going to give one away. There’s also a grand prize of an LG 4K TV which will be given away at the end of the month.

AT&T has finally weighed in! The Galaxy S6 Active will be available starting June 12. They’re being frustratingly coy about pricing, just giving us the Next monthly payment pricing. At $23 a month on Next 24, that would put price near the HTC One M9 and LG G Flex 2. We can expect an off contract price over $700.
Also interesting, AT&T is listing the battery at 3500mAh, instead of the 2550mAh that Samsung listed the battery at. If this is true, we could have a monster variant of the S6 on our hands, as battery life on the regular S6 is often criticized.
You can catch AT&T’s full press release after the original blog post below.
The Nexus 6 has dropped $150 from its price tag on the Google Play store, and Amazon has followed suit. This applies to both the 32GB and 64GB models which are currently selling for $499 and $549 respectively.
It’s unknown whether this is a permanent price drop, a special sale being run for Father’s day, or a promotion to line up with the first round of invites for Project Fi (Google’s MVNO phone service). However, if you were shopping a stock Android phone, the price just got a LOT sweeter.
The Zen Watch 2 will come in more color options, and have more straps available in plastic, leather, and metal. The front face will now be made out of Gorilla Glass 3, the build will be more durable with an IP67 rating, and a new magnetic charger will be included.
Microsoft has officially announced that Windows 10 will be available for consumers starting July 29th. Cortana, a new browser called “Edge”, Continuum, new photo and Office apps will all be available for free for people on Windows 7 and Windows 8 PC’s.
We can also expect to see new hardware running Windows 10, and many have their fingers crossed for new Windows Phones to be launched at the same time.
