#SGGQA 388 Desktop Mode Coming to Android, Google Play Games on PC, Tesla Autopilot Drives Through Walls

There’s a court case pushing back against the FCC dropping a popular rule against robocalls. The former director of a rural broadband plan speaks out against satellite solutions, while the EU looks to replace Starlink in Ukraine. Meta has succeeded in halting the promotion of a book written by a former employee, but that seems to be more advertising FOR the book. A court case sets precedent that AI generated content can not claim fair use if the AI is trained on copyrighted material.

Google showed off the Play Games on PC at GDC, and there’s more rumbling AGAIN about a desktop mode coming to Android 16, or 17, or maybe 18…

And we have to chuckle at that Tesla driving through a wall test!

Apple dodges another Apple Watch ban, and they are delaying new AI features for the iPhone. Microsoft and OpenAI might be going through a rough patch. Google still needs to sell off divisions to satisfy the DOJ. DVD’s are apparently rotting, and not all can be replaced. The Pixel 4a could be having a Note 7 moment.

#SGGQA 386: Xiaomi 15, MWC 2025 Kicks Off, AMD GPUs Looking Good, Apple Sued Over Carbon Claims

Apple is sued over carbon-neutral claims, and they try to explain why the 16e is such a terrible phone. NVIDIA might be purposely holding back stock to inflate prices. AMD announced some GPUs that might be actual competition for a change. Microsoft is shutting down Skype. OpenAI’s new model seems like a dud, but it’s MUCH more expensive. EA released the source code for one of my all time favorite classic PC games. MWC kicks off today, but the news has been pretty quiet.

And we HAVE to talk about all this Xiaomi stuff!

#SGGQA 385: Meta Says Piracy is Legal, and Apple REALLY Hates Making Phones for the Poors…

ANOTHER law firm has been caught using AI to write briefs with fake cases cited. Microsoft trial shows that more people think AI is lame once they learn how it works. Meta says piracy is legal. Amazon kills their Android app store. Apple does pull end to end encryption in the UK, like we said they would.

And a new iPhone is out that basically confirms Apple hates poor people.
