Welcome to another creator chat on the SGGQA podcast channel! I often think the story of how a creator got started is just as interesting and entertaining as the stuff they make.
This week, we’re talking about changing expectations. It’s scary for an established creator to stray from what works, and sometimes it’s difficult for an audience to adapt to a transition. Expectations. It can get kinda messy.
Logan and Justin are extremely fun hosts on the Tek Syndicate YouTube and Twitch channels, producing entertaining geek commentary and videos examining computer and gaming hardware. Along the way though, TekSyndicate shifted from a commentary and review resource. Logan is now dipping his toes in the waters of video game development, and that change in discussion ruffled more than a few feathers in his original audience.

It’s easy to get complacent as a North American tech reviewer, the echo chamber of commentary from a country where only two companies can practically dominate the “tech as lifestyle” conversation.
Damir Franc brings a refreshing viewpoint to the consumer electronics discussion, with a no holds barred approach to top brands and PR relationships. Notable for the fact that he produces videos for a local audience in German, and internationally in English, he has to pull double duty in managing the different expectations of such a broad audience.
