iPhone 11 Pro Max vs LG V50: What exactly IS a “Pro” phone?

Battle of the “pro” phones!

We can get a stunning amount of work done from our phones these days. I truly believe that phones are powerful enough to replace laptops for a LOT of consumers out there. Apple always makes bold performance claims, and has been one of the most visible companies to showcase mobile video production and content creation.

How does the iPhone 11 Pro stack up against a premium Android? It’s time for a showdown!

Christmas on the Sony A7iii: A full frame miracle!

Test driving the Sony A7iii!

I’m so used to shooting on phones, it was refreshing to take a Sony mirror-less out for a spin. Our holiday memories this year are looking REALLY good. After a couple weeks, I’ve got some thoughts to share on this monster camera body, which completely deserves all the praise it’s been receiving.

Is it good enough to convince me to switch? Let’s take a look!

Pixelbook GO review: I love it for reasons Google might not like…

There are a TON of great options when shopping PCs and Laptops. Differentiating features are really nuanced. The Pixelbook Go is a fun take on a mid-ranger laptop with solid hardware specs. It’s the software that will make or break the consumer experience.

Who is the Pixelbook Go for? That was a trickier question to answer than I thought it would be… Continue reading “Pixelbook GO review: I love it for reasons Google might not like…”

OnePlus 6 on Android 10: A High Water Mark

The OnePlus 6 is one of my favorite phones from 2018 to revisit. The last offering from OnePlus with a rear fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack, this phone STRONGLY tested my theory on waiting for the “T” version.

The OnePlus 6T was an exciting phone. It came in a gorgeous purple shell. It got a carrier deal with T-Mobile. However, the farther we get from 2018, the OnePlus 6 is the phone I hold closer for its practicality.

Over a year from its initial launch, how well is OnePlus keeping up with support for the 6? Pretty stinking well…

#SGGQA 126: Chinese Tariffs Cancelled, PewDiePie Taking a Break, There Was No Phone of the Year

The FCC claims the Internet is an “information service” like Facebook, and Mozilla disagrees! Mozilla is appealing a court ruling to get the Internet reclassified as a telecommunication service (like phone lines). The USA is walking away from tariffs on Chinese made products. Pewdiepie is taking a break from YouTube! The New XBOX is a thing! A TALL THING! Floatplane is in beta! Should I join it?

And we’ll take a look back at the phones of 2019, and how there was absolutely no best phone of the year.

Let’s get our tech week started off right!

Apple’s audio is just “good”, especially for iPhone owners who also have nice headphones. Ikko thinks they can improve the situation with the Music Patch. Louder amp, higher quality, and more convenient to use than a dongle!

Those are big claims. I took one for a spin! Here are my thoughts!
