Let's Talk Tech
HAPPY MONDAY!
Last Monday of the month, and that means it’s time for a pajama podcast! Relaxing with folks in the chat, and chatting about traveling for the holidays.
Also, what are YOUR thoughts about gifting old tech to family?
Let’s get our tech week started right!
There’s a right way to do something, but sometimes it’s fun to “slum it” with the LAZIEST way to do something. I have a problem. My NAS doesn’t support hardware transcoding, and I can’t use my NAS for work while someone else is streaming Plex remotely.
Is there a way I can “upgrade” my NAS without changing anything on my network or replacing my NAS enclosure?
Of course there is!
Let’s fix this problem the “lazy” way!

HAPPY MONDAY!
I’m back from a fun event covering MediaTek’s new chips! AI is all the buzz right now, with phones, but OpenAI is melting down right now! Sam Altman is heading to Microsoft!
And let’s spend a little time chatting about Apple’s plans for RCS…
Let’s get our tech week started right!
MediaTek has announced an exciting new mobile chip for flagship phones!
The Dimensity 9300 looks like a powerhouse for compute tasks, but the major topic for this year’s MediaTek Summit is AI. More than tripling the AI performance of last year’s chip, are silicon companies being pressured to force AI on consumers?
I sit down with Dr Finbarr Moynihan and DS Shiu from MediaTek to discuss the future of on-device generative AI. Continue reading “MediaTek Dimensity 9300 and the Future of Mobile AI – Interview”
Apollo Neuroscience is sponsoring this video to talk about better mental health and affordable touch therapy!
A small wearable on your wrist uses detailed vibrations to send information to your nervous system. The claim is that this wearable can help energize you when your feeling run down, or help calm you when it’s time for bed. It TINKERS with your BRAIN!
Will it work on me? It kinda reminds me of another vibrating wearable… Continue reading “Apollo Neuro Wearable: Good Vibration Touch Therapy!”
HAPPY MONDAY!
A TON of tech news as we ramp up for the peak holiday sales season. Your passwords might be getting leaked because of Apple’s Find My network. Unity is in trouble! WeWork is bankrupt! Google is killing the FitBit (in some regions). Valve is rocking my socks with a Steam Deck I (PROBABLY) won’t buy!
And we need to spend a little time chatting about this new Vivo!
Let’s get our tech week started right!
RayNeo Air 2 are here!
A subsidiary of TCL, these are some of the most streamlined and inexpensive XR glasses I’ve used yet. Are there TOO many compromises made to hit a lower price?
Let’s chat about the fit… Continue reading “RayNeo Air 2 XR Glasses Review: Too Many Compromises?”
AcePC WizBox G Review!
While I’ve been playing with more Mini PCs, this is one of the biggest jumps I’ve ever seen looking at price to performance. The new Ryzen 7 is no joke, the GPU is punchy, and it’s significantly more upgrade-able than a similarly specced Mac Mini.
This is a HUGE bang for buck system, AND I made it through the whole video without making a joke about the computer’s name! Continue reading “AcePC WizBox G Review: A Mini AMD Powerhouse! Ryzen 7735HS – Radeon 680M – Low Price!”
