AceMagic X1 Laptop Review: Dual Displays are Kinda Funky…

It’s such a funky concept. AceMagic is experimenting with hardware for productivity and multi-tasking users.

It’s standard fare for the brand, save money by using an older Intel CPU, but the second screen hinge is decently sturdy.

For all the hardware novelty though, I’m mostly concerned about the software (and malware) situation… Continue reading “AceMagic X1 Laptop Review: Dual Displays are Kinda Funky…”

AOC AM16 Mini-PC Review: Is AceMagic Still Up to Their Old Tricks?

At least nothing is outright flagging as malware…

AOC is releasing a mini-PC in collaboration with Ace Magic. A nice little bucket of compute power, packed in a plastic shell. It’s solid performance, IF you can score one on a good sale.
But what about that software… Continue reading “AOC AM16 Mini-PC Review: Is AceMagic Still Up to Their Old Tricks?”

Acemagic AD08 Mini PC Review: Is a Core i9 Wasted Here?

Acemagic AD08 Review is FINALLY done!

This was a seriously delayed video for me. Dealing with malware, and taking more time to carefully clean out the computer, I’ve talked about this experience a lot already. Still, there’s a box with a processor in it, and there’s still a question I need to answer.

AceMagic AX16 Pro laptop review!

I’m a huge fan of mini PCs and this strategy of selling older laptop processors inside small desktop computers. AceMagic is trying the same formula with a laptop, and the specs are pretty decent.

Unfortunately, the brand has also been dealing with QA issues, and some models of AceMagic PC have been shipped with malware preinstalled…

Like this laptop I got…

So… How should we deal with this? Continue reading “AceMagic AX16 Pro Laptop: It happened to me too…”

AceMagic AD15 Mini PC: It MIGHT be a Good Deal?

AceMagic AD15 mini PC review!

It’s a small PC, but it’s not THAT small. It’s running an older 11th Gen Intel Core i7. It’s packed in one of my least favorite mini cases.

And yet… This might be a FANTASTIC home PC… IF you can shop it right…
