This was the nerdiest gadget I found at CES 2026! I keep saying “your phone is a computer”, but the folks at Nex are taking that seriously. The company that makes fun docks is trying their hand at a phone which can also run Debian AND Windows 11.

The NEW Nexdock Review!
It’s the same idea we’ve been playing with for a while now. What if we took a laptop hub and added a portable monitor and a battery? What if we emptied out a laptop shell and used our phone as the computer?

Android 16 QPR 1 Beta 2 Desktop Mode first look!
I honestly didn’t think this was going to arrive on Android 16, but I’m happy to be wrong when it means we get cool new features! Your phone is a computer, and now on a Pixel 8 or Pixel 9, you can USE your phone more like a tablet or PC.
We have a LOT of teething pains to sort out, but this is SO much better!

NexDock XL review! It’s the BIG one!
A portable monitor is one of the BEST accessories you can invest in for ALL your other gadgets and computers. My favorite flavor of the portable monitor is the LapDock. Combining a screen, keyboard, track pad, battery, and ports into one convenient travel shell.
It LOOKS like a laptop, but it’s a dock! The NexDock XL brings a bigger screen to the party, but thankfully the price isn’t any bigger!
