What happens when you cut two cameras off a V40, and spruce the auto modes a little? You get the LG G8! Previous LG’s have been fantastic for pro modes and manual controls, but have often suffered at the friendlier auto modes. Has the G8 fallen into the same trap? Here’s the camera conclusion for LG’s newest phone! Continue reading “LG G8 ThinQ Camera Conclusion: Master of All (Rounders)”
Sundar Pichai Testifies Before Congress: A Media Embarrassment
Lively debate is critical. Google CEO Sundar Pichai sat before Congress, answering questions for over three hours, yet a majority of the media coverage focused on a handful of embarrassing gaffes from tech illiterate representatives. There were some tough topics addressed, and Google’s position on data collection, privacy, search, and business is now on record. It’s just a shame that more of that hasn’t been detailed by news outlets.

This is really getting to me. This is way less fun. I like having more fun in my tech reviews.
During my Razer headphone dongle review, I lost my Pixel adapter. Still can’t find it, so I ordered a replacement. AFTER ordering a replacement, Google refreshed the dongle, and now it’s $3 more expensive, so I grabbed that one too. Time for a short comparison!

Honor View 10 Long Term Review: The Last Premium Mid-Ranger?
Wrapping up my time with the Honor View 10, I have a lot of thoughts to share. This was a fun phone to review, but it was a really difficult phone to compare against other devices. Of its generation, we didn’t get a lot of competition for it at that $500 price tier, and if you were shopping one today, you likely can’t get a new OnePlus 5T anymore. Two months in, how has this phone performed? Let’s take a look!
