Retro Features Make it a Great Laptop! Panasonic Let’s Note FV4 Review

Panasonic FV4 Laptop Review!

It looks kinda old. It’s a laptop with a REMOVABLE BATTERY. It has kind of a weird touch-pad.
But it all kinda works for me.

Panasonic’s new laptop is not labeled a TOUGHBOOK, and I think business users and travelers will appreciate that. I just wish it was easier to buy… Continue reading “Retro Features Make it a Great Laptop! Panasonic Let’s Note FV4 Review”

AceMagic X1 Laptop Review: Dual Displays are Kinda Funky…

It’s such a funky concept. AceMagic is experimenting with hardware for productivity and multi-tasking users.

It’s standard fare for the brand, save money by using an older Intel CPU, but the second screen hinge is decently sturdy.

For all the hardware novelty though, I’m mostly concerned about the software (and malware) situation… Continue reading “AceMagic X1 Laptop Review: Dual Displays are Kinda Funky…”

Surface Laptop 7 Review: Don’t Buy it for the AI…

Surface Laptop 7 Review!

The AI is the LEAST interesting part of all these new PC’s. Spending a month with the Surface Laptop, it’s been refreshingly well behaved. Taking it on an international trip, and then using it while recovering from Covid, it’s maybe the best Windows laptop I’ve ever used. Reviewing the new Surface Laptop! A quick follow up, A LOT of this is working great!

It’s almost like we totally could have predicted this over the last year of Windows on ARM!

Basically, the experience has improved to the point, where I don’t think many people will know that anything is different. Some of the core issues will obviously arrive from BETA software and X86 drivers, but what does that actually look like now? Well, it looks pretty darn good.
After my first impressions, here are some quick follow up thoughts on networking, storage and accessories, audio gear, and a fun little skit about gamer bros.

I’m sure there’s nothing in this that might be deemed controversial.
