I LOVE the Tank phones. They’re absurd.
The Tank X is an interesting beast, bringing back the beefier battery, and using an incredible new 1080p projector. However, at the same time, the Tank X uses an older SOC than the Tank 4 Pro I recently reviewed.

8849 Mars Mini Projector Review!
The 8849 Tank phones and tablets have these nifty little projectors built in. What if we took a TINY projector and made it a standalone gadget? Now EVERY phone or tablet or PC or game console could also have a projector!
8849 is aiming to make this as easy and as portable as possible, but why do the images on the 8849 website make this thing look HUGE?

It’s a ridiculous product until you use it.
I think the Tank Pad makes more sense than some of the recent Tank Phones I’ve reviewed. There’s something wild about a gadget built this chunky, with outlandish specs, but it starts to make sense.
It lives by the mantra that gadgets “aren’t for everyone”. It runs with that idea, and it delivers a unique experience to a small demographic of folks often neglected.
We can make a gadget tough, we can make it powerful, AND we can make that affordably.

Tank 3 Pro Review!
This is the biggest phone I’ve ever reviewed. It’s the heaviest phone I’ve ever used. It’s got almost EVERY feature we’ve ever put on a phone. It’s got a ridiculous battery and a projector.
