Microsoft Ends Mixed Reality Support: Is the Future of VR Looking Grim?

Microsoft is pulling the plug on their Mixed Reality VR platform, and with it a bunch of headsets are about to become ewaste.

This platform could have helped spread VR, but why wasn’t there more support? Why wasn’t there more advertising? Will other companies try to compete? Continue reading “Microsoft Ends Mixed Reality Support: Is the Future of VR Looking Grim?”

#SGGQA 320: Apple, Tech Journalism, and a Decade of Out of Control Hype…

HAPPY MONDAY!

I’m wrapping up some travel, and unfortunately can’t livestream today. I DID finish this video essay though, and it seemed a fitting addition to the topics we cover on this weekly show.

Augmented reality could be so much more, but we need to cover the basics first.

Be the Anti-Apple.

Love,
Juan

XReal Beam: AR for ALL of us!

XReal Beam first look!

XReal is sponsoring this video to clear the air on augmented reality and phone compatibility. Folks don’t understand that iPhones and Pixels don’t support AR glasses. To make up for those issues from Apple and Google, XReal made the BEAM! This little “brain” powers the AR and 3D head tracking capabilities of the glasses for ANY computer or phone you connect it with.

Let’s do this right! Continue reading “XReal Beam: AR for ALL of us!”
