The Galaxy Fold launch is being postponed in China, but Samsung forges ahead for the USA launch! The Nokia 9 finally got an update, but that might be a good thing. Instagram passwords were stored in plain text, millions of users should change their passwords. Google is advertising on Laura Ingraham’s show. Apple and Qualcomm bury the hatchet, while Intel leaves the 5G race.

Better late than never DXO?
The V40 has been ranked and scored at DXO, and the results aren’t what LG fans might have been hoping for. A combined score of 93 places the V40 well outside the top ten list of current phones. It’s just above an iPhone 8, and just below a Note 8 in DXO’s ranking.
LG fans are understandably “not thrilled” with this conclusion, especially for how long the phone has been out. Sort of adding an insult to the injury of delaying their review this long.
The thing is, based on the way DXO shoots and analyzes image quality, they’re not wrong. The DXO testing suite is very consistent.
They just might not test for what you use…

LG G8 vs Galaxy S10? It’s been said that there’s no competition, but that requires someone to completely ignore all the things LG does well. Lot’s of our favorite online content creators are making a pivot. Change can be scary, but far too often we focus on the negative reasons why someone might be making a change, rather than looking at some of the positive aspects of trying something new.
My guest this week really doesn’t need much of an introduction. Jon Rettinger was the President and Chief Editor at TechnoBuffalo, but sought greener pastures (Get it? Buffalo? Pastures?). He wanted a return to more focused video production. What does that look like in this current age of online media?
I really wanted Jon to be a part of this semi-regular podcast series. The changes he initiated on his personal YouTUbe channel are refreshing, and for some of us deep in the weeds, there’s a lot we can learn here.
